The Neighborhood

Hey Ya'll!

Welcome to the neighborhood! If you didn't know, Houston is a mecca of affluent Black & Brown owned businesses. And, if you've been with me for a while, you'll know that I love to support minority businesses! Before #BlackLivesMatter became a thing and before I became a business owner myself, I was always prone to keeping the dollars with the community. Now that I am a small business owner, I understand how vital a recommendation, shout out or a good review is to a small business owner. So guess what?! I'll help to get the word out!

Checkout The Black ListThe Community Events, and The Community Spotlights sections to Start patronizing Black and Brown owned businesses and events!

Want your business listed? Just let us know and we'll add you at no cost! (If you have an E-commerce business, being Houston-Based is not mandatory.)

Teach Woke is an education consulting company that provides race and equity workshops to teachers, leaders, and schools to develop anti-racist agents of change.

BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students often bear the brunt of systemic racism in policies, school discipline, and implicit bias. Many educators avoid talking about race and racism because it calls for skills few of us possess. Teach Woke is helping solve this problem!
